Guide to Initial Position of Squeegee:
The purpose of the steam squeegee is to contain the steam at the front of the cleaning
head. There will be a draw of air from the vacuum from this end so it is not essential to
have full contact on the belt unless steam is escaping when all other adjustments for
cleaning have been optimized.
The purpose of the vacuum squeegee is to accelerate the airflow on the ribbed side of
the squeegee assembly, lifting-off the moisture from the belt. To optimize this flow the
squeegees need to have an even deflection across the full width of the belt. A rough
guide to an initial setting is the free end of the squeegee touching the opposite
squeegee.
However this may need to be adjusted more. A deflection on the belt approximating the
side view is about right for optimum effect. If this is not drying the belt to an acceptable
amount a more powerful vacuum may be required.
