Using the DVD
Important
This product utilises a laser.
Danger – Invisible laser radiation when
opened and interlock failed or defeated.
Avoid direct exposure to the beam.
Caution
Use of controls, adjustments or
procedures not listed in this
manual may result in hazardous
radiation exposure.
The DVD can play discs with the following
Logos:
8 cm/12 cm disc
Audio 8 cm/12 cm.
MP3 CD-R
MP3 CD-RW
Do not try to play Photo CDs as the data on
the disc may be damaged.
The DVD is compatible with PAL/NTSC
DVD.

When the symbol appears in the top left
hand corner of the screen display, this
indicates that the operation being attempted
can not be activated at this time.
DVD playback
With no disc in place and the DVD
drawer closed, the DVD/VCR/CD/
MP3 Player LCD will display ‘no
disc’ and the television on-screen
display (OSD) will display No Disc.
Press the
Open/Close
button to
open the DVD drawer.
LCD will display OPEN and the
OSD will display OPEN.
Place a disc, label side up onto the
DVD drawer.
Press the
Open/Close
button to
close the DVD drawer.
LCD will display CLOSE followed by LOAD
and will then show the type of disc loaded.
The OSD will display Close followed by
Loading and will indicate the type of disc
loaded.
In the case of DVDs, the DVD will pause at
the disc start menus to enable you to make
appropriate playback selections. MENU may
be shown on the LCD.
With DVDs, the LCD will show the Chapter
and elapsed time.
With VCDs and CDs the LCD will show the
Title and elapsed time.
With audio discs, the LCD will initially show
the number of tracks and total play time for
the disc. When playing, the LCD will show
the track number and elapsed time.
