1.1 General

Description and Function
2.1 Product
The
HDMI™/4K2K 7.1 audio extractor extracts the audio signal from the HDMI™
source and provides it as a separate transmission.

Intended Use
We do not permit using the device in other ways like described in chapter
“Description and Function“ and „Safety Instructions“. This product is
protected to IP65 against water and touch and is suitable for both indoor
and outdoor use. Not attending to these regulations and safety instructions might
cause fatal accidents, injuries, and damages to persons and property.

Connecting and Operating

Mind placing cables in a way that nobody will be
disabled and the
cable not be damaged.

Install the system and devices attached to it in a way that persons
cannot be injured, or objects not be damaged for example by drop-
ping

stumbling.

Use only the supplied power supply.
4.1
Connecting
1. Check the scope of delivery for completeness and integrity.
2. Compare the specifications of all equipment be used and ensure
compatibility
3. Connect your HDMI™ source device by HDMI™ cable to the
HDMI™ input (2) of the HDMI™/4K2K 7.1
audio extractor.
4. Connect your output device e. g. TV, monitor etc. by HDMI™ cable
to
the
HDMI™ output (10) of HDMI™/4K2K 7.1 audio extractor
.
5. Connect your output device(s) by fitting cable(s) to the correspon-
ding audio output of the
HDMI™/4K2K 7.1 Audio Extractor.
There are 4 analogue aduio outputs available, depending on the HDMI™
input signal of the source device:

For front left (FL) and front right (FR) audio outputs
LFE / FC
For low-frequency effects/subwoofer (LFE) and front center
(FC) audio outputs
RL / RR
For rear left (RL) and rear right (RR) audio outputs.
RLC / RRC
For rear left center (RLC) and rear right center (RRC) audio
outputs.
6.
Connect the power supply unit (1) to the DC input (8) of
HDMI™/4K2K 7.1 audio extractors and then to a 100-240 V
mains socket.
7.
Switch on connected devices and HDMI™/4K2K 7.1 audio extrac-
tor.
