CONNECTIONS & LINE VOLTAGE ADJUSTMENTS
Connect the power cord to the back of the integrated amplifier and plug it into the nearest
wall plug. For safety reasons, use only a 3 lugs grounded plug.
To get the best sound from the Telos 390.5, avoid any multi-way plugs or extension cords.
Connect a computer, CD/DVD or Blu-ray player to the back panel of the Goldmund Telos
390.5 integrated amplifier, using either the USB Audio (input 7), RCA Analog (inputs 1 to
4), RCA Digital or Toslink Optical connector (inputs 5 to 7).
The Telos 390.5 driver will automatically be installed on your computer when its input
source is connected for the first time with the USB audio connector.
It will then be identified as “Goldmund USB Audio” in all audio related software.
This installation is performed only at the first USB connection.
When the input source is connected, connect the speaker output binding posts to the
speaker using a high quality speaker cable.
Only one connection per input can be used at once.
The automatic input selection has been set so the USB Audio connector has the priority
over the other input. To use the digital or optical input, turn off the computer to which the
USB input on disconnected or unplug the USB connection. The converter will then
automatically detect the RCA/Optical Toslink connection and will switch to it.
AT T E N T I O N:
A residual high frequency noise may remain audible in some circumstances if an analog
input is left open and is selected. This disturbance has no effect on the amplifier but may be
avoided easily through the application of short-circuit plugs on all unused inputs.
OS compatible USB Audio Class 1.0
(i.e. Windows Vista/XP/2000, Mac OS
X, and Linux).
It supports up to 96 kHz /24 bits.
