Care and cleaning
1.
Be sure the unit is unplugged from the
wall and is cool before cleaning.
2.
DO NOT
immerse the unit in water to
clean.
3.
Use a damp soapy cloth or sponge to
clean the unit‟s housing.
Do not use
harsh abrasives or metal scrubbing
pads to clean the housing or grill.
4.
Remove the grill plate and clean in
warm, soapy water. Dry thoroughly
before replacing on grill.
5.
Store the grill in a clean dry place.
6.
Fat will accumulate on the drip tray.
Clean in warm, soapy water after each
use and dry thoroughly before
replacing in unit.
SEASONING
1.
It is important to look after the non-
stick coating on your grill. Using a non-
stick surface allows you to cook with
little oil or fat.
2.
To “season” the grill, wash, rinse and
dry. Apply a thin coat of oil and gently
rub in with paper towel. Turn control to
full and run for 2-3 minutes. If you do
not plan to cook anything at this time,
turn off the control and unplug the unit.
3.
“Seasoning” should be performed
before you use the grill for the first
time and then every 4-6 weeks.
Operating Your Electric Grill
The grill should always be in
the“-”
temperature position before inserting or
removing the plug from a wall outlet.
CAUTION: The metal surfaces will
become hot. Do not touch while in use.
NOTE:
When using the grill for the first
time, there may be a smell of smoke
coming from the surface of the heating
elements. This is normal, due to the
invisible protective coating applied during
production.
1.
Clean the grill pan with a soft damp
cloth before operation.
2.
Plug the unit in. Turn the temperature
dials from the“-”to“+” position, to set
the desired temperature of the grill.
3.
The indicator light for the selected
heating surface will illuminate.
4.
“-”is low heat
“+”is high heat.
5.
The indicator light will go on and off as
the temperature is reached due to
thermostat control. This is NORMAL
operation.
6.
Pre-heat requires 1-2 minutes. Wipe
some cooking oil on grill pan and then
gently add food once warm. The grill
can be used for both raw food and
cooked food.
7.
When you are finished using the grill,
turn the temperature dials to the “-”
position. Unplug the power cord. Allow
the unit to cool before moving or
cleaning.
