Ac operation (built-in transformer)
- Make sure the set voltage of the unit matches your local household voltage.
- The ac-cord is located inside the battery compartment.
- Insert the plug of the ac-cord into a wall outlet with ac-power.
Important!
Please note that the power of the set is “off” when the function
switch is on “tape” position & no cassette button is pressed.
Super bass (DBBS) function
The built in “super bass booster” circuit provides a powerful enhancement to low frequency
music, giving a stronger bass sound which is ideal for “rock” or “jazz” music. This function is
only effective for CD-mode, CD-MP3, USB-MP3 and SD-MP3 playback mode. Anytime during
playback, slide the “DBBS on/off” switch as required.
Preparation of remote control
- Remove the protective transparent cover which wraps the outside of the remote control.
- Remove (gently pull out) the plastic “tab” from the battery compartment at the rear of the
remote control.
Operation of radio
- Set function switch to “radio” position.
- Select your desired broadcasting band with band switch (AM or FM
Symbol is displayed as selected).
- Press next/tune-up button or back/tune-down button and then release the button when the
fast scanning starts. The frequency will continue to change and will automatically stop when
a broadcast station is received.
- To receive a weak broadcast signal press the next/tune-up or next/tune-up button by one
press at a time to obtain the exact frequency you wish to receive.
Radio memory (station preset memory storage)
- At any time, the currently displayed station or frequency can be stored into one of the memo

ry positions.
- To store a desired station into a specific memory position, first tune in the desired station as
usual.
- Press “mem. Set/ skip + 10/ folder” key once.
- Press “next/ tune-up” or “back/ tune-down” to select desired memory position. (There are 30
memory positions for “FM” and 20 memory positions for MW (AM).
- Press key once to save the selected station into the selected memory position.
- To recall any saved memory, simply press “play mode/ memory” key. The saved radio-station
will be recalled.
- Press the “next/ tune-up” or “back/ tune-down” to select the desired programmed station.
- To clear the memory of any position, simply save a new station tothe same memory position.
