M/s. Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd. through its Godrej Security Solutions Business (hereinafter referred to as "the Company"), undertakes and gives warranty to the origina l
purchaser as follows:
The Company warrants that if within a period of 12 (twelve) months from the date of purchase of the product bearing Sr.No. mentioned above, the same is found
defective on account of any of its parts proving to be defective in material or workmanship, the same shall be repaired or replaced free of charge. The question, however,
whether the product as a whole or any of its parts are defective or inoperative due to faulty material or workmanship shall be within the sole discretion of the Company. This is also
subject to the further condition that the product is brought to the Company's notified authorised service centre by the purchaser at his own risk, the expenses and carriage paid both
ways. In the event, the Company carries out repairs or replacement of any parts during the said warranty period, the warranty shall thereafter continue only for the unexpired period of
the original warranty and the purchaser shall not be entitled to insist on the original warranty being extended from the date of such repairs or replacement. The Company, however,
shall not be liable to carry out the repairs or replacement within any specified time. This warranty is not valid for:
a) damage resulting from accident, mishandling, negligence, tampering, fire, acts of nature, loss of components or accessories;
b) replacement/repairs by people other than the authorised personnel;
c) the consumable parts like batteries, plastic parts etc. and accessories.
This warranty shall not extend towards the payment of any compensation to anyone or entitle the purchaser to a replacement of the product as a whole, and expressly excludes any
claim for consequential loss or damage.
This Warranty Card must be duly filled in, stamped and signed by the Dealer. This card and the relevant cash memo must be preserved and be produced alongwith the defective units.
This warranty is valid only for purchases and installations effected from the Company/Company's authorised outlets.
This warranty will apply if and only if the purchaser has taken due care in the use and maintenance of the product as specified by the Company and has not mishandled it. It is made
specifically clear, that under no circumstances will the Company incur any liability for any damage caused due to the gas leakage / fire / burglary / power fluctuations etc. if undetected
either by malfunctioning or by improper usage or lack of maintenance.
This warranty will not apply if the defect is not notified to the Company or its representative within 7 working days from the date the purchaser becomes aware of the defect in the
product; if the product is shifted from its original location of installation to a new location without prior written intimation to the company or its authorised Service Centre.
Any claim made under this warranty shall be subject only to the jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai.
