Special safety directions
The log splitter must be placed on a � at,
stable surface that is raised 60-75 cm above
the ground. The user must be able to use
the log splitter unhindered.
Never use an extension cable longer than
10 meters or have a conductor smaller than
2.5 mm2.
Never smoke or use a naked � ame when
using the log splitter or when re� lling with
oil.
Never stand on the log splitter.
The log splitter must never be used by
children.
Never attempt to split logs containing nails,
steel wire, etc.
Never attempt to split two logs on top of
each other or end to end at the same time.
Stay clear of the log splitter’s moving parts
and wedge during use.
Do not let the log splitter cylinder push
against a log for more than 5 seconds if the
log shows no sign of splitting, as this may
overheat the oil and damage the pump.
Never insert your hands or � ngers into the
cracks that form in the logs during splitting.
They may close, trapping or breaking your
� ngers.
The log splitter must never be left while in
operation or while it is switched on.
Used hydraulic oil and used oil � lters must
be discarded in accordance with local rules
and regulations. Never pour oil down the
drain, into sewers or onto the ground.
The screw for adjusting maximum hydraulic
pressure is sealed and must under no
circumstances be adjusted by anyone other
than an authorized repairer.
The log splitter must be fully assembled
and complete before you connect it to the
power.
Do not attempt to change the setting of the
pressure limiting screw (14)! This can lead
to a risk of personal injury or damage to
the log splitter! The pressure limiting screw
is located beneath the protective cap (15).
The pressure limiting screw must only be
adjusted by a professional.
