BASIC OPERATION

controls and buttons to select channels, menu options, and other basic operation.

The diagram below explains the icons that display on the LCD screen.
Baery icon
(Displays the level
of battery charge)
Scan icon
(Flashes when
radio is scanning)
Receive icon
(Appears when radio
is receiving signals)
Signal Strength
indicator
(Displays the level
of signal receive strength.
More bars mean
stronger signals)
Transmit icon
(Appears when
radio is transmitting)
Channel/Menu display
(Displays channel name / menu option)
Talkaround icon
(Indicates that the radio is in
Talkaround mode)
In Call icon
(Indicates that a
call is in progress)
TX Power icon
(Displays when the TX Power
is set to low)
