National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) radio station WWVB, located in
Fort Collins, Colorado, is the source of the time signal received by the radio controlled
quartz clock. Your radio controlled quartz clock actually has a miniature radio receiver
inside, which is permanently tuned to receive the 60 kHz signal. This signals adjusts the
time display to the correct time. NIST is an agency of the United States government that
provides official time to the United States.
BUTTON FUNCTION:
1. To open, turn outer back panel to the left.
2. To close, turn outer back panel to the right.

1. “DST ON/OFF” - Slide to select turn on or turn off Daylight Saving Time (DST) function.
2. “PMCE” - Slide to select time zone.
a. P – Pacific Time
b. M – Mountain Time
c. C – Central Time
d. E – Eastern Time
3. “REC” - Press to receive signal if your clock stops working. Allow the clock
to search for a signal and reset the time.
4. “M.SET” - Press to set correct time by hand. When the receiver fails to receive
signal and in “misrunning” situation (as noted below), press “M.SET” button for 3
seconds to activate hand set pattern, then long press to make the minute run and
stop it at the position you want, you can also press it time by time, one time equal
to one minute. (Two “M.SET” button for same function.)
5. "Reset" will reposition clock hands and search for signal again
6. Use this only as a last resort or if the "REC" button does not work. Clock will set
back to 12 o'clock and start searching for a signal.
OPERATION
1. Set your Time zone using the PMCE Button.
2. Remove the pin and install AA battery. Your second hand will make one revolution
and stop at 12:00, followed by the minute and hour hands.
3. All hands will set to the position of 12:00 and then begin to search for a signal.
4. Once the signal is received, your clock will set to the correct time. If the signal is
weak, the hands will move and continue to search for the signal every few hours.
As a general rule, best reception is at night and just before or after sunrise and or
sunset. It is suggested to wait 24 hours for the clock to fully receive signal before
initial use. Under certain weather conditions or in areas of poor reception, it may
take several days to receive a signal for the correct time. After 24 hours, if there is
still no signal, the hands will move but not to the correct time. This indicates that
there is no reception at this location and the clock should be moved to another
location in order to receive its signal.
5. If the movement fails to receive the signal, it will set to 12:00.
6. To re-receive the signal please press the “REC” button for at least 3 seconds until
it starts to receive a signal and set to the correct time.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
1. For the initial setting it is recommended to set the clock in an upright position near a
window (preferably one facing Colorado). The clock should be at least 6 feet away
from a TV, computer or other electrical appliances which may interfere with the
frequency. Do not place the clock on top of or close to metal surfaces.
2. The radio control signal can be obtained by clock movements in the continental
United States and parts of Canada and Mexico.
3. Certain environments and weather conditions may affect the signal reception. The
radio signal may be blocked by mountains, tall buildings, power plants, airports,
construction sites, and traffic or neon lights.
4. If your clock is losing significant time or has stopped operating, it is recommended
to change your battery. We recommend changing your battery annually.
5. This radio controlled clock will automatically adjust for Daylight Savings Time
(DST). DST typically occurs at 2:00AM but your radio controlled clock may need
additional time to receive the signal and adjust.
6. If your area does not observe Daylight Savings Time the DST button should be
turned to “OFF”.
7. If you move to a different time zone, you must reset the clock and battery.
8. Store the clock without a battery when not in use.
