Basic Pancakes
2 c. flour 1/2 t. salt
2 T. sugar 1 3/4 c. milk
1/2 t. baking soda
6 T. vegetable oil
1 T. baking powder 2 eggs
1. Place ingredients in a large mixing bowl and combine until well blended.
A few lumps are okay. Let batter rest 5 minutes before using.
2. Preheat the pancake maker.
3. Pour 1/3 cup of pancake batter onto the center of each bottom plate.
4. Close the lid. Check for doneness after 2-3 minutes.
5. When done, carefully remove the pancakes and repeat these steps with
remaining pancake batter.
Makes about 10 pancakes.
Tip:
For banana pancakes, add 1/2 cup mashed banana to the batter.
Cooking time may take a bit longer.
