Repeat steps 7 until the output power is less than 0.3dB and higher than the output power in the previous
measurement (i.e., the last test signal transmitted drove the BUC to near saturation). Record the attenuation value
used for transmitting the last test signal.

If the attenuation value used for transmitting the last test signal is 11dB or lower, click
Close
.

If the attenuation value used for transmitting the last test signal is higher than 11dB, install the 10dB attenuator
(P/N

- ATT, L-BAND,10dB, N-TYPE F, 50V, 3A,10MHZ passing) provided with the Capricorn
PLUS modem at the TX Out port of the modem and connect the RF cable (P/N
CB052230
- Cable RF Type / RF
Type RG6 LF20cm) to the other port of the attenuator.
If the attenuator has an F-Type male connector, connect the attenuator directly to the modem. If the
attenuator has two F-Type female connectors, use the short cable provided with the modem to
connect the attenuator to the modem.
