Security settings

The

Security Setup Wizard

offers you additional settings for improving your network

security. You can:

assign a password for configuring the Gigaset SX553 WLAN dsl (see page 43),

change the ID for your wireless network (SSID) (see page 44),

set up

Encryption

for traffic in the wireless network (see page 45),

limit access to the wireless network to certain PCs (see page 49).

The user interface of the Gigaset SX553 WLAN dsl guides you step by step through the
security configuration. Once you have completed a screen, click

Next >

. If you want to

make any changes or check your entries, click

< Back

Select the

Security Setup Wizard

option on the start screen or on the tab to start

the security configuration if you did not make the security settings immediately after
setting up the basic settings.
