 Installation

Wall mounting of template GE551Y078 or GE551Y087-088

 NOTE.

 Refer to datasheet 0962ML for proper installation of the template.

Mount the template on the wall using screw anchors fit for 

the type of wall and weight of the equipment, leaving a 
distance of at least 1000 mm between the template base 
and the ceiling.
The HIU can be installed at any height of the wall, however 
we recommend leaving a 1500 mm min. distance between 

the floor and the HIU cover base.
Install the ball valves in the template holes and fix them with 

the washers using a wrench.

Connect the system pipes to the template 3/4”M ball valves 

using suitable adapters.
Refer to the template label for proper installation of the 
pipes.

For  an  easier  installation,  the  HIU  includes  3/4”F  flat  nuts 

with adjustable tail pieces (10 mm extension).

Before  fitting  the  HIU  on  the  wall,  extend  every  single 

adjustable tail piece up to its max. length

Installation of HIU on template

Using a hard surface as reference, press all the adjustable 
tail pieces (previously extended to their max. length) at the 
same time to align them.

 WARNING.

 Risk of scalding and electric shock.

Installation must be carried out by qualified operators authorized by the building administrator. 
Comply with regulation of use (installation, fixing, etc...), operation, recalibration and replacement of meters. Also refer to assembly instructions included with every 

meter.

 IMPORTANT WARNING.

 As a consequence of transport, connections may be loose due to vibrations. Make sure all flat seat connections are well established during 

commissioning.

 WARNING.

 Before installing the HIU on the template it is necessary to wash all the pipes.

 WARNING.

 Any unused connections and ball valves must be closed with a plug.
