Product description
GCER 100 is an electronic reader for which common car keys can also be used as an
identification medium in addition to RFID identification mediums (125 kHz).

Reader with fixed cable 10 m, controller, master card,

small slot screwdriver, Torx®-Bit TX-10, 2 x fixing screws, Torx® 3x20 mm, manual.
Reader, master card and controller form a unit permanently assigned in the produc-
tion. If the master card is lost or if there is some defect in the reader and/or control-
ler, all the three parts must be submitted for repair or replaced in principle.
No data about the master card coding is recorded for safety reasons; hence, an
individual card cannot be generated later
Cleaning and maintenance
No sharp or scratching cleaning agents may be used. Cleaning should be done
using a dry or slightly damp cloth
Installation and assembly
The reader is installed in a standard installation flush mounted socket for a flush
mounted fitting. In case of a surface installation, surface cap no. 120503 (white) can
be used.

Screw the reader tightly using two TORX® screws. An extremely high tightening
torque can damage the plastic casing!

Install the controller in the inner area. It can be installed in a standard installation
flush mounted socket or a corresponding AP housing (e.g. no. 103662).
Use in or on metal surfaces
In order to ensure the functioning of the reader when installing in metal surfaces,
the use of a standard cavity wall socket is recommended. The recess required for
this in the surface should be minimum Ø 68 mm. If the recess has smaller dimensi-
ons, the reading range can be influenced.
