The
Audio/video power supply - DIN rail
supplies the power supply
current (SELV – very low safety voltage, 14.4 Vdc rated) to the
video entryphone system devices.
It is available in two versions, with a single 18 VA output
(GW 18 361) or dual 2 x 18 VA output (GW 18 362).
Each output has a red LED that signals the presence of voltage at
the terminals.
The power supply, with 4 DIN modules, can be installed only in a
board or distribution box with a DIN rail.
Components
ATTENTION: to prevent injury, this device must be secu-
red according to the installation instructions.
ATTENTION: the device must only be installed by qua-
lified personnel, observing the current regulations
and the guidelines for video entryphone installations,
which can be found in the Technical System Manual.
Devices that can be powered
The audio/video power supplies protect the video entryphone sy-
stem devices from overtension and overcurrent at the inputs and
are short-circuit protected at the outputs.
The following devices can be connected to each power supply
outlet (single or multiple):
• Ethernet Switch - DIN rail (GW 18 371)
• Video entryphone front door unit, any composition
• Camera interface - DIN rail (GW 18 376)
• Relay unit - DIN rail (GW 18 381)
The maximum number of collectable devices depends on the
absorption of each device.
Warnings for installation
• The length of the power supply cable between the
Ethernet
Switch
(GW 18 371) and the power supply must not exceed
100 m with a cable section of 1 mm
2
.
• The length of the power supply cable between the
Camera
interface
(GW 18 376) and the power supply must not exceed
100 m with a cable section of 1 mm
2
.
• The length of the power supply cable between the
Relay unit
(GW 18 381) and the power supply must not exceed 100 m
with a cable section of 1 mm
2
.
• The length of the power supply cable between the main mo-
dule (GW 18 301, GW 18 302, GW 18 311, GW 18 312) of the
front door unit and the power supply must not exceed 100 m
with a cable section of 1 mm
2
.
Assembly on the DIN rail
Proceed as follows to assemble the power supply on the 35 mm
DIN rail:
1. Insert the upper device coupling in the DIN rail.
2. Push the device against the DIN rail and block it acting on the
fixing tab.
Make sure that the device is well fixed on the DIN rail.
The power supply may only be installed in a board or
distribution box with a DIN rail.
