Amongst other factors, the following items
can
impair the radio
signal and the range:
- electrical equipment (PC, TV, fridge, etc.)
- insulating foil, aluminium foil, house panelling
- reinforced concrete walls
- mobile telephones and other radio equipment
- underfloor heating (electrical)
- ceiling lamps, fluorescent lamps
- particularly close motor vehicles
along with large and/or metallic devices or building components.
We therefore recommend that the smoke detectors are laid out
in the chosen rooms and the mutual alarm triggering tested
before they are permanently mounted.
Test each individual unit at regular intervals and
whenever the environment is changed (new floor,
new or moved furniture, lamps, structural changes
etc.)
