Installation
Optical configuration
Guardian 704 ILB is provided with an IR varifocal lens with range 5-55 mm (11x),
F 1,4, and manual iris.
Globalproof provide the product with a pre-adjusted lens, concerning the type of
installation you declared in the purchase order.
Anyway, it could be necessary to change the zoom/focus of the lens by the installer, for particular type
of installation. In this case, some suggestions:
Lock firmly the camera case in the definitive position, to avoid any movement of it, after the optical
regulation.
Un-screw slightly the four screw that hold the metallic plate on which the camera black body is fixed
and move it back by 1/2 cm: this operation will make easier to operate with the Zoom knob (b), to
change it.
Let regulate the Zoom to include the wanted target within the field of view. Let make this regulation
with the presence of a container stopped to the bar.
Let regulate the Focus knob, ‘till to obtain the best sharpness of the target. Remember you can use
the “focus assistant mode”, enabling it through the configuration web pages of the camera.
Let reposition the camera black body in the original position and tighten the 4 screws that lock the
metallic plate.
