Installation
Position
The heater must only be used on a horizontal stable surface.
Operation
Turning on
The switch has four settings:
Off
Cool Air - fan only
Warm Air – half power
Warm Air – Full power
Thermostat
(Not available on G2FH2)
•
The thermostat operates by increasing temperature when the knob is
turned clockwise.
•
Turn the thermostat fully clockwise.
•
When the room has reached the required temperature turn the
thermostat slowly anticlockwise until a click is heard and the indicator
light turns off.
•
The temperature is now set and the heater will switch on and off to hold
the temperature.
Frost protection
The frost watch setting is used to prevent the room temperature from falling
below approximately 5°C (depending on the size of the room).
•
Choose the power level desired on the heat control switch.
•
Turn the thermostat knob to the “
” symbol. The heater will now switch
on automatically if the room temperature falls below 5°C.
Safety Cut-out
•
The fan heater includes a self-resetting safety device to automatically
switch off the heater in the case of overheating.
•
If the heater turns off in use due to overheating, turn the switch to “OFF”,
remove the plug from the socket, and let the unit cool down for at least
10 minutes. Remove any item that may have caused a reduction in
airflow. Then plug the heater in and switch to “ON”.
•
If the same situation repeats unplug the heater and have it serviced by a
qualified service engineer.
Plug Replacement
Maintenance
•
The only maintenance required is cleaning of the outside.
•
Before you clean the unit turn the switch to “OFF”. Remove the plug from
the socket and wait until the heater cools down.
•
Use a damp cloth to wipe the outside of the heater.
•
Do not use water, detergents, abrasive cleaning materials or chemical
agents (alcohol, petrol etc.) to clean the unit.
•
There are no user serviceable parts inside. Qualified service personnel
only should carry out repairs.
If the plug is damaged and requires replacement, follow the wiring instructions
supplied with the new plug.
•
The blue wire must be connected to the
terminal marked with the letter N or
coloured black.
•
The brown wire must be connected to the
terminal marked with the letter L or
coloured red.
•
A 13 amp plug (BS 1363) fitted with a
13 amp fuse (BS 1362) must be used.
NOTE: THIS HEATER IS DOUBLE INSULATED AND THEREFORE DOES
NOT REQUIRE AN EARTH CONNECTION.
