36. Setting the time zone
Send the localiser an SMS with the words: “time+space+zone+pspace+local time zone”;
the localiser sends an SMS with the message “time OK”.
For example: send “time zone123456 1”
(where 1 is the time zone of Italy during standard time).
If the time zone is negative like “-2” you have to send “time zone123456 -2”.
37 Resettare l’hardware
Send the localiser an SMS with the message: “reset+password”; the localiser sends an SMS with
the message “reset OK”.The GSM and GPS settings of the localiser will be reset.
38. Configuring parameters via USB
It is possible to configure the device via USB using a USB cable (optional).
Access the device memory and search for the configuration file “User_confi.ini”.
Note: The password must be entered each time to configure the device.
39. Fleet control
With Fleet Control it is possible to control and operate the device via WEB (from the browser) or
from an application for PC, Apple and Android devices.
To do this you need a GPRS sim enabled not only for voice and SMS traffic but also for WEB data
traffic.
Using fleet control (regardless of the type of WEB platform or application) it is possible to control
one or more registered devices to monitor all vehicles.
39.1 APN setting
APN standards for Access Point Name are different from country to country.
For more information about your local APN, please inquire with your local GPRS network operator.
Send an SMS containing the message “APN+pSpace+your local APN” to the localiser and
if the set up is successful the localiser will send an SMS with the message “APN OK”.
For example: if you send the SMS “APN123456 CMNET”; you will receive the SMS “APN OK”;
123456 in this case is the password of the locator, CMNET, in this case, is the APN of the mobile
phone in China.
39.2 GPRS User ID and password setting
In most countries, the user name and password for the GPRS login are not required, so this step
can be skipped.
For countries where user name and password are required, you need to do the following
Send an SMS to the localiser with the text “up+pspace+user+space+password”; if the set
up is successful the localiser will send an SMS with the message “user, password ok”.
For example: if you send the SMS “up123456 jonnes 666666”; you will receive the SMS “user,
password “OK”; 123456 in this case is the password of the localiser, jonnes, in this case, is the user
name needed to login to GPRS, 666666 is the password to login to GPRS
39.3 Setting port and IP address
Send an SMS to the localiser with the text “apSpace+IP Space+Port
Number”; if the set up is successful the localiser will send an SMS with the message “adminip OK”.
For example: if you send the SMS “adminip123456 202.104.150.75 9000”; you will receive the SMS
“adminip OK”; 123456 in this case is the locator password, 202.104.150.75 is the IP, 9000 is the
port.
