Safety
information
General
safety
information:
Before
using
the
machine,
the
operating
manual
and
safety
information
must
have
been
read
and
understood
in
their
entirety.
The
instructions
contained
therein
must
be
followed.
These
operating
instructions
are
based
on
the
relevant
parts
of
the
European
Machinery
Directive
(98/37/EC)
and
the
CEN
TC
255
regulations
“Hand
‐
held,
non
‐
electric
power
tools
–
Safety”.
These
instructions
cover
the
operation
and
han
‐
dling
of
the
machine,
including
tools,
accessories
and
machine
maintenance.
Failure
to
comply
with
these
established
safety
recommendations
can
cause
serious
hazards.
The
machine
operator
must
have
properly
un
‐
derstood
the
following
safety
advice
and
must
have
access
to
these
instructions
at
all
times.
To
prevent
improper
handling
of
the
machine
and
to
prevent
accidents,
the
operator
must
comply
with
the
safety
precautions
set
out
be
‐
low.
Installation:
Comply
with
the
specifications
regarding
compressed
air
quality,
which
are
contained
in
the
operating
instructions
supplied
with
the
machine.
Only
use
the
recommended
lubricants.
Check
pneumatic
tubing
and
air
pressure.
When
the
machine
is
running,
the
air
pressure
at
the
tool
inlet
should
not
exceed
7
bar
(=
700
kPa
=
100
psi),
or
a
lower
maximum
operating
air
pressure
if
specified.
Avoid
hazards
associated
with
vibrating
pneumatic
tubing.
Check
the
condition
of
the
tubing,
tube
connectors
and
tube
clamps
regularly.
Make
sure
that
the
exhaust
air
vent
is
positioned
so
that
dust
or
air
drawn
from
the
workpiece
is
not
directed
toward
the
operator
or
any
other
person.
A
safety
screen
should,
if
possible,
be
positioned
between
the
operator
and
the
workpiece.
Pneumatically
‐
driven
power
tools
are
generally
not
insulated
in
a
way
that
would
allow
them
to
come
into
contact
with
an
electrical
power
source.
If
an
explosion
hazard
exists,
use
some
other
machining
technique
that
does
not
generate
sparks
in
order
to
avoid
personal
injury
or
damage
to
property
from
fire.
Always
disconnect
the
air
supply
tube
from
the
machine
before
servicing
or
carrying
out
maintenance
on
the
machine.
Before
each
use,
always
inspect
the
pneumatic
tubing
for
signs
of
wear
or
damage.
•
Servicing
and
testing
must
only
be
carried
out
by
appropriately
qualified
technicians.
