Flow Sensor
Attention
SI090
Spirostik could be damaged.
Reason: Flow Sensors of Spirostik are precise and high-
resolution components. For this: Ensure the respective
functions are preserved! Therefore:
•
Exactly follow instructions for cleaning, disinfection and
calibration!
The heart of the Spirostik is the Spiraflow flow sensor.
The Spiraflow is a disposable sensor and the measuring
accuracy is constantly checked during production.
As the flow sensor ensures the precise flow measurements, the
cleaning and calibration requirements must absolutely be
adhered to.

System Construction and Electrical Safety
The following instructions are intended for safe handling of the
entire system, taking into account the electrical safety concept of
the Spirostik.
The Spirostik connects directly with the PC and forms a medical
electrical system (ME system) with the computer where the
application software is installed. The following instructions are
intended to safely form such a system, considering the electrical
safety concept of the Spirostik (see chap. 12.3 "Electrical Safety
Concept").
Preferably, the system should be constructed by a specialist
retail partner but may also be carried out by the responsible
organisation of Spirostik themselves.
