5.2.1  Playback using USB Mass Storage Device 

You can play back the files recorded at the GV-Video Server by attaching the USB mass 

storage device to the GV-System. However, the GV-System is run on Windows OS while 

the files recorded at GV-Video Server is on Linux ext3 file system. To enable Windows to 

recognize the files, you need to install the program 

Ext2 Installable File System

 included 

in the Software CD. 

 

1.  To install Ext2 Installable File System, run 

Ext2IFS_1_ 10b.exe 

from the Software CD. 

2. Run 

IFS Drives

 from Control Panel, and assign the drive name(s) to each available   

 partition in the USB mass storage device.
