Battery
Each unit GT-HR is come with a 1000mA lithium battery. According to the test result, a
lithium battery under proper operation has a rated life for 500 or more charging cycles. The
battery lifetime is depending on design and quality of the production, normally the
capacity will gradually degrade with relative to time, or number of cycling cycles.
It is important to notice that, the depth of discharge (DoD) determines the cycle count or
the life of the battery. The smaller the discharge (low DoD), the longer the battery will last.
The condition of high Discharge (high DoD) is not good for lithium battery. Thus, to
prolong battery’s life, it recommended charging the device before the battery power level
drop to a critical power point.
How to Charge the Battery
The power could be supplied either from AC-power source by using adapter, or from
computer/PC by directly connecting Micro USB charging cable. In case USB Multi-port Hub
is used, the charging time of the device is depending on the output current of the port.
GT-HR has a charge light to determine whether the device is fully charged. Please notice
that, if the device is being used for measurement while re-charging, the battery indicator
will display 100% although haven’t fully charged yet. Please always see the charge light to
check whether the device is fully charged.
