Check the function of the alarm relays (optional)
annually
. Therefore use the Test Low Alarm and
Test High Alarm buttons in GeoDAS.
•
The voltage of the main battery and the charging voltage of the charger shall be measured
annually
. Disconnect the AC power to measure the battery voltage, keep the Instrument switched
on. The voltage should be between 11.8 and 13.2 VDC, depending on its charge. Reconnect the
AC power cable, switch off the Instrument and disconnect the main battery, measure the voltage on
the battery cables. The voltage should be 13.8 ± 0.3 VDC.

The physical condition of the Instrument and the sensor should be checked
annually
. Make sure
every cable and connector is in good condition and plugged in properly.
•
The main battery should be replaced every
3 years
. After replacement, adjust the date of
installation and the date of the next replacement into the Instrument via GeoDAS.
•
The backup battery should be replaced every
5 years
. After replacement, adjust the date of
installation and the date of the next replacement into the Instrument via GeoDAS.
