Connecting the speakers in the head 

 

The speakers are connected in a series/parallel configuration. The reasoning for this is to limit 
the maximum amount of power supplied to each speaker which increases longevity.  

Additionally, if one speaker becomes damaged and opens up, the remaining speaker is saved
