14 Cleaning and sterilization
The valve can be cleaned (CIP) and
sterilized (SIP) without removal.
The
conditions in chapter "Technical data"
(operating, cleaning and sterilization
media, temperatures) must be observed.
During cleaning and sterilization, the valve
must be permanently open.
15 Disassembly
Disassembly is performed observing
the same precautionary measures as for
installation.

Disassemble the diaphragm valve
(see chapter 11.1 "Valve disassembly
(removing actuator from body)").
16 Disposal

All valve parts must be
disposed of according to
relevant local or national
disposal regulations /
environmental protection
laws.

Pay attention to adhered
residual material and gas
diffusion from penetrated
media.
17 Returns
G
Clean the diaphragm valve.
G
Request a return delivery note from
GEMÜ.
G
Returns must be made with a completed
return delivery note.
If not completed, GEMÜ cannot process
credits or
repair work
but will dispose of the goods at the
operator's expense.
Note for returns:
Legal regulations for the protection
of the environment and personnel
require that the completed and
signed return delivery note
is included with the dispatch
documents. Returned goods can
be processed only when this note
is completed.
