Tightening operation
Bring the reverser lever to the tightening position (to the right).
Place the machine in position on the bolt or lag screw, holding it vertically in both hands,
one on the handle
with the accelerator lever and the other on the tubular front handle
(utilisation in vertical position).
Accelerate the engine. The socket will start to move. Final tightening is only obtained after 3
seconds of impact operation, from the moment when the blocking position is reached.
Releasing operation
Bring the reverser lever to the releasing position.
Place the machine in position on the bolt or lag screw in the same manner as for tightening,
but holding it firmly with one hand on the handle
with the accelerator lever and the other
on the tubular handle or the front handle (utilisation in horizontal position).
Accelerate the engine. The socket commences its releasing movement after a few seconds.
If the component refuses to release, never pursue continuous impact operation for
more than 10 seconds. Reverse the direction of operation and try to release the bolt
or lag screw by tightening it for 3 seconds. Continue the releasing operation and, if
release is not obtained after 10 seconds of impact operation, deploy other means.
N.B.: If the reverser lever is difficult to position, accelerate the engine very slightly to slowly rotate the gears of the reverser.
Never use the reverser when the engine is running at speed.
After each use, move the reverser lever to the neutral (central) position. Stop the engine by moving the universal lever to the
0
position and put the
machine down in a horizontal position.
Never do tightening or releasing work before the engine is warm
The portable power wrench is not designed for carrying out precision tightening.
Overtightening carries a risk of damaging the lag screw or the sleeper.
