InSite Definitions
Here are definitions for the different InSite states:
Virtual Console Observation (VCO)
. Allows Technical Support to control Venue Fit™ functionality
remotely.
Disruptive
. Allows GE’s Technical Support person to connect to your system via VCO, to run
diagnostics directly on your Venue Fit™ system, and to collect system logs. When the system is in
Disruptive Mode, the icons are red. There are two disruptive states. If you see a telephone with a clock,
then the system is in Disruptive, Not Connected Mode. If you see a telephone with GE, then the system
is in Disruptive, Connected Mode.
Non-Disruptive
. Allows GE’s Technical support person to look around on your system, but cannot
perform any service-related functions, depending on whether InSite has connected or not connected.
There are two Non-Disruptive states. If you see a black and white icon, InSite ExC is activated, but not
open for Technical Support access. If you see a yellow icon, InSite ExC is activated and the Technical
Support person can look around on your system, but cannot perform any service-related functions.
Connected
. InSite is connected.
Not Connected
. InSite is not connected.
NOTE:
When Disruptive mode has been activated or a diagnostic has been run, the system will notify the user
that a reboot is required to allow scanning.
