Operation - Measure/simulate an RTD or Ohms
To measure/simulate RTD values or Ohms:
1. Connect the instrument (Figure 7/8) and, if necessary,
adjust the
Set Up
2. Select the task from the task selection menu (Table 2):
3. If necessary, adjust the
Settings
(Table 4/5) and/or the
output values to the system (Table 7).

For an input, the display shows the number of RTD or
resistance connections.
If this symbol does not agree with the number of
connections:
• Make sure that the connections are correct.
• Make sure that the wires and the sensor are
serviceable.

Operation - Thermocouple (TC) connections
Attach the TC wires to the applicable TC mini-connector
(Figure 9). The wider blade is the negative. Then attach the
connector to the instrument.
