17. Enable / disable service technician
Use this function to enable and disable the service technician code. This option is to be used when a service
technician or engineer can only gain access to the installer menu when this option is enabled by a user.
To enable/disable the service technician code
1. Access menu option 17.
The display shows:
0-Cancel, 1-Service In
Option:
2. Use one of the following options:

Enable the service technician code for the programmed time period,
and return to the menu

Cancel the service technician code, and return to the menu

3. In case option 1 is selected the system will ask if tampers and reporting should be inhibited.
Example:
YES – Bypass tamper
Press ENTER
Tamper alarms will be bypassed during the service time. For installers this provides means to open devices for
service. In case of doubt, do not enable this option.

[CLEAR]

4. When
[ENTER]
is selected, the display shows:
NO – Bypass reporting
*-Change 0-Skip
Reporting of alarms when an installer is doing maintenance can cause misunderstanding towards central
stations. To avoid this, reporting can be bypassed using this option. In case of doubt, do not enable this option.
5. Press
[MENU*]
to toggle between YES and NO.
