filling iron with water
Use ordinary tap water. If using extremely hard water, alternate between tap water
and distilled water. do noT add starch or fragrance to the water tank (15). Chemically
softened water (e.g. from household water softeners) is not recommended and may
cause the iron to leak or spit.
• Ensure the iron is unplugged from the electrical outlet.
• Place the iron on its soleplate (16) and on a flat and heat-resistant surface.
• Open the fill inlet cover (2) (ill. a
).
• Fill the water tank (15) through the fill inlet (3) until the max marking on the tank
(15) is reached (ill. b
).
• Close the fill inlet cover (2) (ill. c
).

• Fill the iron with water ( Filling iron with water). CAuTion! burn hazard: Always
fill the water tank (15) with water before connecting the iron to the electrical outlet.
• Connect the power plug (8) to the electrical outlet. The operation indicator (12)
lights up and stays on.
• Slide the function control (4) to dry ironing position (ill. d ).
• Set the temperature control (13) to cotton-linen
(highest temperature)
CAuTion! burn hazard: Steam ironing should be only used with the cotton-linen
mode and when the iron is fully heated. If not, hot water might drip from the
soleplate (16) and cause burns!
• Place the iron on its heel (11) and let it heat up (ill. e
).
• Wait for 2-3 minutes until the desired temperature is reached. Press the steam
burst button (6) a few times. Steam will come out of the soleplate nozzles (16)
(ill. h
).
• Slide the function control (4) to the desired steam output (between and ).
Slide right/left to decrease/increase the steam output. Steam is kept at a constant
volume and temperature.
• After use, turn the iron off (O), disconnect it from the electrical outlet, and empty
the water tank (15) ( Turning iron off and emptying water tank).
