BREWING COFFEE WITH FRESH BEANS
Before making the first pot of coffee in your new Coffeemaker with grinder, we recommend
operating the coffeemaker once using only water and a paper filter. This will remove any
residue in the system which might remain from the manufacturing process.
1. Press the lid release button in front of the coffee maker to open the lid (figure #1).
Remove the grinding chamber assembly (figure #2). Insert a #4 paper cone filter or the gold
filter into the filter basket. For best results when using a paper filter, wet the edges of the
paper filter and press it against the sides of the filter basket to prevent filter collapsing or
shifting. Replace the removable grinding chamber assembly.

the top lid (figure #4) Add the desired amount of the coffee beans to the grinding chamber
according to the suggested coffee measurement on page 5 (figure #5). Replace the grinding
chamber lid and the coffee maker lid.
