Chapter 1 Parts Names and Functions

1.1 Front View

Platen

The surface for

holding and supporting

media during cutting.

Cutting Pad:

Provides

protection for the blade

while the blade is cutting

Alignment Ruler:

Media

can be aligned with the

clear guide line marks

Cutting Carriage:

This

unit performs the cutting

with the installed blade and

pen.

Grid Drum:

Moves the

media back and forth

during operation.

Control Panel:

Consists of

10 control keys and 6 LEDs

Knife Guide:

To cut off

the extra media easily

along this groove.

Pinch Roller:

Press the

media against grid drum

during cutting.
