IV Arm
•
The right arm can be used for infusion,
blood collection, intravenous injection,
intramuscular injection, TB screening,
and subcutaneous injection exercises.
•
The arm and hand contain venous grooves, fitted
with soft latex tubes to simulate the consistency
of veins. Covering the venous structure is a
pliable vinyl skin that is removable and washable.
2.
Apply the desired pressure to the
veins via the squeeze bulb.
Blood Collection
1.
Place the simulator on a level surface and
ensure the drain tube is clamped.
3.
Perform the blood collection exercise.
NOTE: Drain and flush the venous system with
clean water after each day of simulation. Refer
to section 1.2 "Cleaning" for more details.
