Replacing the palm rest assembly

www.gateway.com

To replace the palm rest assembly:

Disconnect the AC adapter and modem and network cables and prepare
the convertible tablet PC by following the instructions in

“Preparing the

convertible tablet PC” on page 6

Turn the convertible tablet PC over so the bottom is facing up.

Remove the battery by following the instructions in

“Removing the

battery” on page 8

Remove the four screws on the bottom that secure the hinge to the chassis
by following the instructions in

Step 4

“Replacing the LED panel” on

page 35

Remove the thirteen screws on the bottom of the convertible tablet PC.
