Modifying a SAN LUN mapping
Caution
Making changes to these mapping
parameters can have an adverse affect
on other mappings or to the operating
system accessing the logical drive.
In order to make changes to an existing SAN LUN mapping, you must first
remove the existing SAN LUN mapping and then re-create it with the changes.
To modify a SAN LUN mapping:

From the Main window, click SAN Mapping in the Configuration tool bar.
The SAN LUN MAPPING window opens.

Select the Host HBA port that contains the mapping you want to modify
in the
HBA Ports Name section.

Select the mapping you want to modify in the MAPPINGS section, make
a note of the settings for this mapping to use in Step 5 , then click REMOVE
MAPPING .

When you see the confirmation message, click OK to continue or click
CANCEL to exit and return to the SAN LUN Mapping window.

Add a new mapping.
See your notes from the existing mapping to help create the new
mapping. You want to recreate the mapping using new settings, such as
a different logical drive, a new LUN, different permissions, or different
controller host ports. For specific details, see
“Creating a SAN LUN
mapping” on page 65 .
Important
If you want to cancel your changes before
you click
APPLY
, click
RESTORE
. The
changes are cleared, and the previous
settings are restored.

Click APPLY to save your changes.
If you are making multiple changes in multiple sessions, clicking RESTORE
resets the parameters to the last time the APPLY button was clicked. For
example, if you create a new mapping and click APPLY, then change the
name of the Host and decide you do not want that change, clicking
RESTORE cancels the name change and the new mapping remains as it
was when you clicked the APPLY button previously.
