Setting a password
To set a password:
1
Make sure that your DVD recorder is turned on.

Press the
Setup
button to open the
Setup
menu.

Press the button to select
Playback
, then press the
Enter
button.

Press the button to select
Password
, then press the
Enter
button.

If this is the first time you are setting up a password, press the number
buttons to enter 0000 (default password) in the
Old Password
field.
- OR -
If you are changing your password, press the number buttons to enter your
old password in the
Old Password
field.

Press the number buttons to enter your new password in the
New Password
field. If you need to change a digit, press the to go back.

Press the number buttons to enter your new password in the
Confirm
field.
If you need to change a digit, press the to go back.
Resetting the password
To reset the password:

Make sure that your DVD recorder is turned on.

Press the
Setup
button to open the
Setup
menu.

Press the button to select
Playback
, then press the
Enter
button.

Press the button to select
Password
, then press the
Enter
button.

Press the number buttons to enter 8008. You can now use the default
password (0000) to set up a new password.
