3. Installation
3.1. Location
The gate can be fitted either inside the opening or stairway or on the wall besides the
opening or stairway.

When fitting at the top of
stairs, place the gate at
the top floor level 15 cm
(6 in) from the first step.
When fitting at the bottom
of stairs, place the gate at
the lowest stair.
Always make sure that the safety barrier is in the correct position according to the tem-
plate. Before mounting the gate, decide whether it should open left to right or vice
versa, and therefore which side will be most suitable for the handle.
