HANDLING AND STORING THE OIL
Make sure all oil is only handled when it is
completely cool!
•
Remove any food residues from the oil
after use.
•
Filter the oil regularly.
•
Replace the oil after it has been heated
approx. 10 times. All the oil must be
replaced at the same time. Never mix
old and new oil. The old oil should be
disposed of as per the relevant local regu-
lations.
•
Store the oil in the appliance or in an
airtight container in a dry, cool and dark
place. It is not necessary to store the oil in
the refrigerator.
CLEANING
Unless clearly specified in the cleaning instruc-
tions below, please note that none of the parts
of this appliance are dishwasher safe.
Before cleaning, remove the plug from the wall
socket and allow the appliance to cool down.
Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents
or scouring pads.
•
The heating element with control panel
and cord must not be immersed in water.
Remove the control panel and heating ele-
ment before cleaning the appliance.
•
Once you have poured the oil out of the
bowl, wipe the inside of the bowl with
kitchen paper. Then wash the bowl thor-
oughly.
•
Clean the lid, bowl, baskets and casing
using warm water and a little washing-up
liquid, and dry the parts carefully.
•
The carbon filter and oil filter in the lid
should be replaced after 6 and 12 months
of use respectively. Open the filter holder
in the lid and remove the filters. Insert a
new carbon filter (black) and a new oil filter
(white). The filters must be positioned in
the same way as they are from the factory.
•
Wipe the casing with a clean, well-wrung
cloth. Then dry with a dry cloth.
STORAGE
•
Wait until the appliance is completely cool
before putting it away.
•
The bowl should be stored with a little oil
in it. If you do this, you should check that
the lid is closed properly so that no dust or
dirt can get into the oil.
