6. Press the start/on button to switch on the appliance. The display is illuminated with
the default sealing time (seal Time) and evacuating time (Vac Time).
7. Press the function selection buttons, until the indicator arrow is pointing to Vac seal.
8. if required, you may increase or decrease the evacuating time in steps of 5 seconds
by pressing the buttons Vac time + and/or Vac time - until the desired time is shown
on the display. if you wish to use automatic operation, set the evacuating time to 0.
in this case, auTo will be displayed.
additionally, the sealing time may be set in steps of 1 second. for this, press the
buttons seal time + and/or seal time - (see: ‘sealing foils – seal onlY’).
9. With the desired time settings on the display, press the start/on button to start ope-
ration. While the bag is evacuated and sealed airtight, the remaining evacuating
time (Vac Time) and sealing time (seal Time) are shown in a count down.
10. as soon as the Vac Time and seal Time have been counted down to 0, evacua-
tion and sealing are complete. Wait a few seconds for the appliance to ventilate
the vacuum chamber with a hissing noise. Thereafter, open the lid and take out the
sealed bag.
impOrtant:
leave the appliance cool down for at least 20 seconds after each
sealing process, before you start operation again.
11. Do not leave the appliance switched on when not in use. Press the cancel/off
button for approx. 3 seconds to switch off the appliance. if you do not wish to seal
another bag, unplug the appliance.
cOntrOlling the vacuum pump manually – pulse vac
using this function, you can control the vacuum pressure within the bag, preserving deli-
cate objects within the bag from being crushed. additionally, you can avoid that large
amounts of liquids will evaporate and be sucked into the vacuum pump.
1. choose a bag of sufficient size and check that the bag is undamaged and airtight,
before filling it. Place the items to be sealed into the bag. at least 5 cm (2 inches)
of free space must be left between the contents and the top of the bag.
2. Place the appliance onto a suitable surface and connect it to the power supply. a
cracking noise is heart. This is normal.
3. open the lid and ensure that the dripping tray within the vacuum chamber is com-
pletely empty.
4. Place the upper rim of the bag onto the heating bar and vacuum gasket. it is crucial
that the rim of the bag completely reaches into the vacuum chamber all over. ensure
that the foil of the bag is laying smooth and without folds and gaps.
