Problem

reason

The solution

The Portafilter overfills. It is normal for the

correct amount of

coffee to appear

overfilled in your

portafilter.

Tamper the coffee powder. Untamped

coffee can reach three times the volume of

tamped coffee.

The GRIND SIZE dial

is tight

Run milling works empty briefly by pressing

the START | PAUSE | CANCEL button whilst

turning the dial.

You cannot assemble

the bean hopper or

the bean hopper will

not stand tight on the

grinder.

The bean hopper

lock is in wrong

position.

Turn the bean hopper lock to the UNLOCK

position before assembling the bean hop-

per. Then try again.

You cannot unlock the

bean hopper.

Coffee beans block

the bottom of the

bean hopper.

Activate the grinder for a short moment to

work the beans lose. Then try again.

The appliance is

connected to the power

supply, but the screen

is dark.

The energy saving

feature is active.

Simply press a button of the operating

elements.

Regular cleaning helps the grinder achieve consistent grinding results which is especially

important when grinding for the use with espresso machines. Additionally, you avoid disad-

vantages to flavour and taste due to any remainder left in the grinder.

wArnIng:

Always ensure that the appliance and any parts and accessories of it are

out

of reach of young children

. Always unplug the appliance, before moving, disassembling,

or cleaning the appliance.
The appliance is intended for grinding roasted coffee beans. Therefore, the milling works and

the burr sleeve can cause severe injuries when handled improperly. Do not hold your fingers or

any foreign objects into the grinder, and do not poke in the grind outlet, while the appliance

is connected to the power supply. Always unplug the appliance before moving, disassembling

or cleaning the appliance.

CAuTIOn:

Do not use any abrasive cleaners, cleaning pads (e.g. metal scouring pads), or

any corrosive chemicals (e.g. bleach) for cleaning the appliance or any parts of it, to avoid da

-

mage to the surfaces. Do not use any hard or sharp-edged objects for cleaning. Do not immer-

se the power base or power cord in water or any other liquid. Do not spill or drip any liquids

on or in the power base or power cord to avoid risk of fire and electric shock.

Do not clean

the appliance or any part of it in an automatic dishwasher

. Do not use violence!

Do not clean the milling works with damped brushes. Coffee powder will stick together, and

therefore clog up and block the milling works, when getting in contact with moisture.
