3. Thoroughly wipe dry, and leave the power base dry naturally for approx. 30
minutes, where it is out of reach of young children.
CLEANING THE KETTLE
CAUTION
– Do not pour water onto the exterior of the kettle. Do not place
or immerse the kettle in water. The temperature probe is protruding the heating plate.
Clean the interior of the kettle carefully, to avoid damaging the temperature probe.
4. Leave the kettle cool down to room temperature and remove the filter system, lid
and lid ring, before cleaning the kettle.
5. If required, clean the interior of the kettle using a soft nylon brush and lukewarm
dishwater. Then, rinse the interior of the kettle thoroughly with clear tap water.
Stubborn stains of tea may be removed carefully via a plastic pad, ensuring to
avoid any damage to the temperature probe. Do not use metal scouring pads!
6. Thoroughly, rinse the interior of the kettle with clear tap water.
NOTE
If stubborn residues of scale cover the heating plate and interior of the glass body,
the kettle needs descaling (see: ‘Descaling the Kettle’).
7. Remove any splashes from the exterior of the kettle via a slightly damp cloth.
Always ensure to keep the power connector in the power base of the kettle com-
pletely dry.
8. Wipe dry with a clean dry cloth, and leave the kettle dry naturally for approx.
30 minutes, where it is out of reach of young children.
CLEANING THE FILTER SYSTEM, LID RING, LID, AND STAINLESS STEEL
COASTER
CAUTION
– Do not attempt to disassemble the infuser cover. Do not wash
the ingredients of your tea into the sink to avoid clogging the outlet pipe.
9. Remove the tea infuser from the infuser cover and empty the tea infuser. Dispose
of the used ingredients of your tea in domestic waste or on the compost heap.
10. Wash the filter system (tea infuser and Infuser cover with magnet holder and
pusher), lid set, and stainless steel bowl in warm dishwater via a soft nylon brush.
11. Ensure that the pusher rod of the filter system is smooth and clean. Stubborn
residues can be rubbed of via a cloth. Thoroughly rinse all parts with clear tap
water.
