position. When the cantilever is parked, the kettle can still be removed from the
power base.
1. Ensure that the appliance is in standby mode (no programs or functions are run-
ning).
2. Hold the AUTO STEEP button pressed for approx. 3 seconds until the signal
sounds. When releasing the button, the cantilever moves completely down and
then up again to the medium park position. Thereafter, the appliance switches
off completely.
NOTE
When connecting the appliance to the power supply again, during initialisation
the cantilever moves up to the topmost position.
RESTORING THE FACTORY SETTINGS
IMPORTANT -
When restoring the factory settings, all individual settings are
deleted irreversibly. Only the language of the display will be kept.
1. Ensure that the appliance is in standby mode (no programs or functions are run-
ning).
2. Hold the buttons TEMP/TIME and FAV./CUS. pressed simultaneously for
approx. 5 seconds. The appliance issues an acoustic signal and the complete
array of the display illuminates shortly. Thereafter, with the exception of the lan-
guage, any user-defined settings are overwritten and the original factory settings
are recalled.
SOLVING PROBLEMS
If any problems occur during operation, you will find the solution in the following
table.
Problem
Reason
The Solution
Emergency stop required?
Unplug the appliance.
There is still a gap bet-
ween lid ring and kettle.
The lid ring must be instal-
led in correct orientation.
Turn the lid ring. There is a guiding groove in the lid ring
that must be positioned above the handle of the kettle.
The pouring sieve must be centred at the spout of the
kettle. Then push the lid ring down slightly and without
violence until it settles on the rim of the kettle.
