3.5.1 ROW MARKER ARM ADJUSTMENT
Row marker with trace on the tractor wheel
See Fig. 23 and observe the following rules for correct row market
arm adjustment:
L = D (N +1) - C
2
where:
L= the distance between the outermost element and the row
marker;
D= the distance between the rows;
N= the number of elements working;
C= the tractor’s front track width
Example:
D= 13 cm (inch. 5); N= 23 elements; C= 150 cm (inch.59);
L = 13 (23 + 1)-150 = 81 cm
2
Row marker with trace in the centre of the tractor
See Fig. 24 and observe the following rules for correct row market
arm adjustment:
L = D (N +1)
2
where:
L= the distance between the outermost element and the row
marker;
D= the distance between the rows;
N= the number of elements working;
Example:
D= 13 cm (inch. 5); N= 23 elements.
L = 13 (23 + 1) = 156 cm
2
For normal soils the correct working position of the disc is
that shown in Fig. 26 ref. A; for strong soils turn it over as
shown in ref. B Fig. 26.
