4.4 ADJUSTING THE SEEDING DEPTH
To obtain a good level at which sprouts come out, the seed needs
to be placed at the right depth into the seeding bed.
The planting depth is obtained mainly by moving the side
adjusters of the parallelogram (A, Fig. 64).
CAUTION: The graduated indicator (B Fig. 64) does not show
the planting depth. Its purpose is to position the two arms at
the same height from the ground.
The pressure of the planting devices is also adjusted individually
with the nut (
D , Fig. 65) that allows the tension of the spring to be
adjusted.
The screw (
C , Fig. 65) acts as a limit switch for each
furrowopening element. To obtain regular sowing, calibrate the
limit switch (
C ) to the same measurement for all furrow-opening
elements.
In particolari condizioni del terreno, è possibile variare l'angolo
di penetrazione del disco assolcatore agendo sul tirante (
E , Fig.
66).
La misura di 48 cm, riferita all'apertura del tirante (
E ), garantisce
un angolo ottimale di penetrazione del disco assolcatore sul
terreno.
È inoltre possibile impostare una differente profondità di lavoro
tra il rango anteriore (
G , Fig. 66) rispetto a quello posteriore ( H ,
Fig. 66) agendo sul tirante ( F , Fig. 66).
La misura di 32 cm, riferita all'apertura del tirante ( F ), garantisce
l'allineamento dei dischi assolcatori e quindi la medesima pro-
fondità di lavoro.
