Storage of Hydrogen Reference Electrode HydroFlex
After the measurements, rinse the electrode thoroughly with water. Place the
hydrogen electrode in a liquid (such as measuring solution, 1 mol/l hydrochloric acid,
1 mol/l sodium hydroxide solution, water) to keep it functional.
As soon as the running time of 6 months is reached, the hydrogen
cartridge must be replaced immediately (see 4. Maintenance).
Otherwise, a vacuum will form in the electrode and liquid can be
soaked.

Checking the HydroFlex
If you want to check HydroFlex, we recommend the standard calomel electrode or, if
necessary, the silver silver chloride electrode.
We recommend the following solutions as measuring solution:
Hydrochlorid acid
pH 0
244 mV
Hydrochloric acid/citric acid
pH 2
362 mV
Citric acid /sodium chloride /sodium hydroxide solution
pH 4
480 mV
The potentials given refer to the standard calomel electrode at 25 °C.
