Air fi lter cleaning
1. Clean inside the fi lter box with a damp cloth.
2. Remove the cage (2) of the air fi lter (3).
3. Clean the fi lter using a so ft brush in a bath of fi lter cleaning liquid.
4. Squeeze it and dry with a clean cloth. Do not blow the fi lter as it may be
damaged.
5. Install the fi lter on the cage and cover the lip of the fi lter (4) with a thick
layer of grease to ensure the sealing and prevent the entry of dirt.
DANGER
A clogged air fi lter allows the entry of dirt into the engine causing excessive
wear and damage.
Inspect by all means, before and a ft er each race or prac ti ce session. Clean if
necessary.
Clean the fi lter in a ven ti lated area and make sure that no sparks or fl ames near
the workplace (includes a powerful light source). Do not use gasoline to clean the
fi lter as this could cause an explosion.
WARNING
• Inspect fi lter for damage. If damaged, replace or otherwise dirt into the
carburetor.
• Lubricate all fi tti ngs and screws of the air fi lter and entrances.
