WLAN

While

SANTOKA

has a built-in WLAN module, all other Garz & Fricke products support WLAN using WLAN

USB dongles. A list of supported devices can be found in the BSP release notes. WPA2 encryption with PSK is
supported via the WPA Supplicant tool.

The WLAN IP connection needs to be configured before it will function properly as described in

4.2.1 Garz &

Fricke system configuration]

and

4.1.6 Network initialization]

WPA supplicant generally uses the configuration in

/etc/wpa_supplicant.conf

. However, on Garz & Fricke

systems, there is a service called

sharedconf

as described in

[

4.1.8 Garz & Fricke shared configuration]

that

generates this file automatically according to the settings in the global XML configuration. If the user wants to
change the AP settings, it is recommended to use the

sconfig

script as described in

[

4.2.1 Garz & Fricke

system configuration]

udev

script runs

wpa_supplicant

automatically when the dongle is plugged in, so no further commands have

to be executed manually.
