7 Adjusting Differential Feed Ratio
(only for machines with driven presser foot)
To ensure sewing of fabric layers without their displacement in the course of feeding it is
possible to adjust different lengths of feeding driven by press-wheel and feeding by rotary feed
dog. To adjust shorter lengths of feeding driven by press wheel move collar (A) on lever (B)
towards feeding shaft (D). To increase the length of press-wheel feeding move collar (A) from
the axis of shaft (D).

An appropriate adjustment of the ratio of the lengths of feeding driven by rotary feed dog and
press-wheel makes it possible to achieve not only the same feeding of fabric layers but, if
necessary, to gather or stretch one of the fabrics.
